Aenir: The Ancient Undertow
Sorensel is a small island in the west of Aenir. It’s climate is tropical, and is considered one of the more exotic locales in the world. It’s rife with unique flora and fauna, making it a destination spot for many who travel.
- Pioneer’s Bay: Built atop the ruins of a now submerged keep (named “The Sunken Keep” or “Isiri” by the locals) this city is a large port for travelers and tourists. Those who wish to get the experience of Sorensel without traveling far from their ship will be pleased to be met with lush beaches, restaurants, taverns and the like. Other offerings such as tours of the ancient keep and live performances displaying interpretations of how it was flooded. Shells and carapaces of various native creatures are sold at a premium as rare keepsakes in the market square.
- Salamander’s Cove: A large cliff face extends upwards about 300 feet from the surface of Sorensel, and slopes far back into the island itself. This makes the Cove a popular attraction for hiking and cliff jumping, and also sports a large waterfall cascading into the ocean below. Inside of the cove are strange rock formations, rumored to once be the surface lair of the Kraken, but there has been no evidence to substantiate these claims.
